Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Says She Is Receiving Chemotherapy
The Supreme Court justice began the treatment in May, in response to a recurrence of cancer.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is receiving chemotherapy to treat a recurrence of cancer, the Supreme Court said Friday.
Ginsburg began the treatment in May, she said in a statement released by the court. She said that it “is yielding positive results” and that she intends to remain on the court, “as long as I can do the job full steam. I remain fully able to do that.”
The justice, 87, has been treated for cancer four times over the last 20 years: in 1999, 2009, 2018, and most recently, last year, for a cancerous tumor on her pancreas.
She has been hospitalized several times recently for unrelated reasons. In May, she received treatment for a benign gallbladder condition.
Earlier this week, she had a possible infection and underwent an operation to clean out a bile duct stent that was inserted last year.

Adobe researchers also found that 23% of online shoppers prefer some form of click-and-collect over having orders delivered to their homes.
