The world’s total crisis machine is ramping up right now. Quickly. Simultaneously.
Every country. Every state. Every city.
Emergency managers, military, public-health, fire, emergency medical services, law enforcement, homeland security, national security,, hospitals and health systems, critical infrastructure, business continuity, continuity of operations, continuity of government, departments, agencies, ministries, non-profits, small businesses, corporations…

Me in 2018: So I’m going to get out of disaster management and focus on politics. We have to win at politics to have any luck keeping this democratic republic intact, impacting climate change, and maintaining world stability.
Me this week: Shit.
🎙️
Looks like I’ll be doing disasters and politics at the same time. The game changed. The framework we built for countering tyranny and impacting political change was also built to help with civic engagement that can help in a catastrophe. Because I’m a risk manager. And the risk was there.
In the next 24-36 hours, the political framework we were just launching for political action will lay out a countering-coronavirus framework for large-scale civic engagement.
Its a framework with a coordinated civic activism approach to tackle, mitigate, & address the spread of coronavirus and amplify/support state and local public health work… while also accounting for chaos in the federal government; emerging tyranny; the power of community action; the strength and synergy of connection; the need for resilience; and the need to strategically apply public pressure and power.
It’s structured to be asymmetrical, unprecedented, and overwhelming, with spectacle and saturation.

It’s a risk calculation whether you take the coronavirus pandemic threat seriously.
While you’re considering, be advised that the ramp-up of the world crisis machine means that people whose job it is to deal with risk are not playing around.
I’m one of them.
