Mueller told Justice Dept. three weeks ago he wouldn’t reach a conclusion on obstruction
Roughly three weeks ago the special counsel’s team told Attorney General Bill Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that Robert Mueller would not be reaching a conclusion on whether President Donald Trump obstructed justice, according to a source familiar with the meeting.

It’s time for Congress to do its job and investigate Trump
Let’s start with the tax returns.
Long before it would have occurred to anyone to posit an elaborate conspiracy involving the Trump campaign and the Russian government, the question of what Donald Trump was hiding on his tax returns seemed to be crucial and important to assessing his fitness for the presidency. But that question, like so many others, wound up subsumed by Robert Mueller’s criminal investigation.
With the Mueller inquiry now seemingly at an end, the time is right to refocus on the key questions about Trump — questions that are not limited to Russia in scope and that are mostly political rather than prosecutorial in nature.

Trump aides want payback after Mueller finds no collusion
The president’s advisers and lawyers demand apologies from Trump’s critics and call on Adam Schiff to resign.
President Donald Trump’s top aides went on the attack Monday in the wake of special counsel Robert Mueller’s finding that there was no collusion between Trump’s campaign and the Kremlin.
Allies including senior counselor Kellyanne Conway, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Trump’s personal lawyers Jay Sekulow and Rudy Giuliani appeared on nearly every morning news show to mark one of the biggest victories of Trump’s presidency thus far: Attorney General William Barr’s letter to Congress Sunday that largely cleared him of wrongdoing.
Their declaration that the president has been completely exonerated by Barr’s four-page letter to the leaders of the House and Senate Judiciary committees is at odds with the few words Barr ripped directly from Mueller’s findings. But that didn’t stop the president’s aides from taking shots at Democrats and the media during their victory lap.
